Knowing What to Write and Say

June 23rd, 2010 . by admin

Nothing is more depressing than attending a funeral and having someone give a eulogy that is poorly thought out. The whole purpose of this speech or other tribute is to express what is in your heart. Maybe I become so frustrated because I write for a living, but I do not believe a eulogy should be written in ten minutes or less. Also, I wish people would learn when to use a funeral poem and when not to. It can be very disconcerting to hear a poem delivered about someone when they hated this form of work. It is very off-putting.
