The Dimensions of PVC Pipes

PVC pipes are made from durable thermoplastic polymer. They have different dimensions, which depend mainly on the nominal PVC pipe dimensions. For instance, the smallest nominal pipe size is 0.5 inch, which has a nominal inside diameter of 0.622 inch, a minimum wall thickness of 0.109 inch and an outside diameter of 0.84 inch.

One of the average-sized PVC pipes has a nominal pipe size of 3 inches. It has a nominal inside diameter of 3.068 inches, a minimum wall thickness of 0.216 inch and an outside diameter of 3.5 inches.

The biggest nominal pipe size measures 16 inches, which has a nominal inside diameter of 15 inches, a minimum wall thickness of 0.5 inch and an outside diameter of 16 inches.
