Appreciating Rap
June 1st, 2010 . by adminOver time hip hop has developed into more of a business than a culture. Hip hop, today is a big business with cable channels, magazines, clothing line and corporate owned record labels and lots of people are earning lots of money.
Released back in the 70′s by DJ Kool Herc, hip hop was enjoyed by 1000s as a alternative to the mainstream disco and pop music listened to on the radio. Nowadays, unfortunately, raps are filled with violent lyrics and greasy talk.
Tragically, hip hop has also claimed lives over the years, with the death of numerous famous rap artists in gang related shootings.
Although hip hop and loop download is still heard throughout the world today, compared to when it burst onto the scene 30 years ago, hip hop has done nothing to uplift the culture and the communities it represents.
