Lazy Susans In China

February 20th, 2010 . by admin

People tend to mix up their cultures and not realize where things really come from. One perfect example is lazy susans. We think of these as the perfect asset to every country dinner table to serve a good, home-cooked meal.  In reality, the place most known for using these rotating plates is China. In China, meals at restaurants are often ordered communally, meaning everyone gets the same thing rather than getting separate meals. The lazy susan makes it easier for them to distribute the food around the table by simply just rotating the plate to each individual in the dinner party at the restaurant.
