The Difference between Fitness in Your Youth and Anti-Aging Fitness in Your 40s
June 30th, 2009 . by adminIf you are in your 40s and have already tried to begin a fitness program you may have noticed that you are not getting the same results as you used to. You may be disappointed that you are still aging despite your efforts. This is because fitness after 40 is totally different than it was when you were younger. In your youth, you had a fast metabolism, more muscle mass, stronger bones, and probably less stress. Now that you are older, your metabolism has slowed, you have lost muscle and bone strength, and stress probably affects you more easily. Therefore, your old exercise routine simply will not cut it anymore nor will it stop the aging process. However, if you develop a fitness routine that includes diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes you will see you can make yourself feel younger and stronger.
