Vauxhall Astra Value

July 29th, 2010 . by admin

In the past I have owned lots of Vauxhall vehicles. I currently own a Vauxhall Astra which I have owned for a number of years now. I purchased this vehicle from brand new which looking back on it I probably should have purchased it pre registered because it works out a lot cheaper. But still you live and learn. I think I might change it for another Vauxhall of some sort or a VW. My brother has always owned a VW and currently drives a VW Golf. I really do like the Golf because of the way it drives and its image.

The “Ride” in the Honda Pilot

July 26th, 2010 . by admin

I have talked to many people when doing my comparison of the Honda Pilot Vs Toyota Highlander and one thing that I often hear is that the Honda Pilot drives like a cars as opposed to a truck. How does it achieve this? For one thing it has a 4 wheel independent suspension that features a MacPherson front strut and multi link rear design that gives it a smooth ride and awesome handling. The 4WD drive system is also not too rough. It is called Variable Torque Management and automatically transfers power to the rear wheels when the system detects loss of front-wheel drive traction.

New Motorbikes Love

July 21st, 2010 . by admin

I sometimes wonder whether there is anything more exciting and exhilarating than a fast and wild ride on a barely tameable motorbike. I used to enjoy test riding new motorbikes in my last job, speeding through the local woodland, it always blew away all of the cobwebs and left me refreshed and excited. Better than anything else, however, was the clifftop rides I did, which combined my love for speed and the open road with utterly beautiful scenery. Seeing the see unfold before me whilst being buffeted by the cool coastal wind is hands down my favourite life experience ever!

Neglecting you car care responsibilities is a bad idea

July 14th, 2010 . by admin

After having to replace an engine recently in one of my cars because its timing belt broke I realized the belt replacement maintenance requirement from the manufacturer was overdue by almost 50 thousand miles. Since this is a 10 year old vehicle I unfortunately had not been keeping up with its car maintenance service schedule. This is just one example of how having good car care habits can save you a great deal of money. Check your owners manual for your vehicles service schedule and try to stay up to date on all its car maintenance to avoid unnecessary major repairs. It can pay big dividends.

A long time to wait due to the backup list of applicants

July 10th, 2010 . by admin

My Daughter was told from her instructor that she was almost ready to put in for her test and she should do it as soon as possible as there is a waiting list she will be placed on. There are so many people learning to drive always that the backup list of applicants is very long!   I got a driving licence application form for her to fill in for the test and she got stuck in learning what she needed to do and eventually her test date cam through by post.  The date was six weeks away so she was very disappointed indeed!  I advised her just to carry on her studying and with her lessons and before she knew it, it would be time for the test.

You Can Find Great Volkswagen Rims Online

July 9th, 2010 . by admin

My so-in-law just bought a used Volkswagen. It’s a 2004 with low mileage, great interior, and the body looks like a new car. The only frustration he is having is the rims. They look like they have been through a war. So I suggested a good set of new or possibly even used Volkswagen rims. Go online, get a search engine working for you. He found a used set with full pictures for a good look at what he was considering for a purchase. The price was good, so he place the order. He showed up yesterday with his used rims; they looked like new. They were a perfect match.

An Extended Warranty for Cars is Awesome

July 6th, 2010 . by admin

In addition, the price of an extended auto warranty is often much more reasonable than what you would have to pay should you need to get your car fixed in the future. Therefore, by spending a smaller amount of money in the beginning you may save yourself quite a few dollars in the end should repairs or replacement parts be necessary for your automobile.

When determining whether or not to get this type of warranty you must look at a few of the finer points to see if this type of extended warranty for cars is right for you. One thing you should consider is what types of coverage items are included within the warranty. For example, if the warranty covers only replacement parts but not time and labor expenses then perhaps obtaining this policy may not be a good investment for you since labor can be quite pricey. On the other hand, if the warranty includes all the necessary repair costs you could possibly imagine yourself having to pay in the future then maybe getting the extended warranty would be a wise choice.

Used Bentley Success

July 4th, 2010 . by admin

My brother in law came over the other day to show off his new car.  I new that he had gotten something nice I just had no idea how nice.  When I first saw the car coming slowly down the street I admired it as one of those cars I would never be able to have.  When he parked his Used Bentley in the driveway I was amazed. He told me that he was actually more than pleased with the deal he got and suggested I go and check them out for myself.  I am very successful and make good money so I think I just might do that.

Here are Some Cars With Good Car Ratings

July 2nd, 2010 . by admin

The NHTSA, National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration, does a lot of the Car Safety Ratings for any new vehicle that comes on the market. The ratings are usually rated on a 5 stare scale. Here is a look at some of the best rated full size vehicles for 2010: 1) The Mazda6 was the only vehicle in that class to get a 5 star rating in all 5 categories. 2) The Chevy Malibu and the Toyota Camry both got 5 star ratings in every category except for a 4 star rating in the rollover category and 3) The Honda Accord got a 5 star rating in every category except for a 3 star rating for the rear side impact.
