Public records of burial plots

March 31st, 2009 . by admin

When my father died we all knew that he had a prepaid burial contract and had paid for a cemetery plot both himself and my mom.  When the funeral home contacted the cemetery they said the grave site was there but they had no record of either of my parents owning the plots.  We were panicked because we knew it was his wish to be buried in the family plot.   Our funeral director somehow did a public court records check under my dad’s name and found a lot of interesting information.  But most importantly,  he found when he paid for it and that the title had be transferred to him.
