Paul and Jackie had a party at their house.  It was so hot.  Their air conditioner stopped working during the party.  Everyone went outside just to try to cool down but it was hot outside also.  There was not enough shade for everyone.  They called a company about air conditioner repair.  The company cannot come out to their house for another week.  It is a hot summer and they have been very busy keeping all the houses cool.  I feel bad for them because the nights are going to be miserable without any air conditioning.  If it gets too bad, they may need to stay with one of their friends.
