I have to say that I got what I deserved.  My life had spiraled out of control and I found myself in the most desperate state.  Losing my job and unable to find another one, I had turned to drugs and alcohol to help me cope.  Needless to say, I was not thinking all too clearly which led to the check fraud.  It was not the greatest plan I had ever had.  I justified it by saying I had to pay my bills some way or another.  It didn’t take long for the cops to catch up with me and arrest me.  Although I had a good LA Criminal Attorney, I was sentenced to a year in jail and then twelve months community service.
