Guided Meditation Has Helped Me Quit Smoking

July 3rd, 2009 . by admin

I used to be a three pack a day smoker!  Now that I use guided meditation, though, I have been able to quit smoking and remain a nonsmoker for four years. Meditation is truly a way for me to sort of just keep it cool, remember why I quit, and maintain my composure in smoking situations.  I no longer feel the need to smoke although I don’t chastise those who do.  I am just at peace with myself without having to smoke for confidence or whatever other reason I used to smoke.  Meditation truly helped me quit and for that I am really grateful!

Crisp and Clean Glass Mosaic Tile Backsplash

July 3rd, 2009 . by admin

Trends come and go in the mosaic art business. However, I believe that this new trend will stay with us for a very long time because of its simple and clean yet sophisticated look. Which style am I pertaining to? No other than the contemporary technique of putting transparent glass against a back lit acrylic wall. It covers your wall but not completely covers it because of the transparency of the stained glass tiles. These transparent stained glass tiles can also be placed in front of an existing glass mosaic tile backsplash to create a light source where there was none before. Even in the absence of light, transparent stained glass tiles create a crisp and clean look to your space.

Installed Cement

July 3rd, 2009 . by admin

My friend was installed cement in his backyard for a  mini basketball court. When we were taking the cement in the wheel barrels to the back yard I lost my grip on one of the and the wheel barrel tip over and whipped out his mother’s flowers on the side of the house in the flower bed. It was a huge mess to clean up but his mother wasn’t too upset about it, she said accidents happen and it was not serious. We eventually finished the job and starting using the court and I didn’t spill any more cement on the flowers.

Finding My Engagement Ring In My Oyster

July 3rd, 2009 . by admin

My boyfriend who I have been dating for about two years now said that we were going to be going out to dinner and he would pick me up at seven o’clock.  I did not think anything about it except it was Valentine’s day and we always go out to dinner for the occasion.  We went to a very nice restaurant on the water and the waiter brought our appetizer which was oysters on the half shell.  As I picked up my first one, which my boyfriend put on my plate, I noticed there was something  sparkling in it.  As I looked closer I saw the Engagement Ring he had placed in the shell.

Family Fair is Great Wholesome Fun

July 3rd, 2009 . by admin

The local park hosts a family fair every summer and there’s all kinds of fun activities. Last year, there were games, concerts and even a movie right in the middle of the park on a big screen. Businesses also have booths to educate and entertain. One booth had a hands on demonstration of puppy obedience training, which was fascinating watch. Our favorite part of the event is the food and the workshops. Food vendors offer an amazing selection and the classes are on things that are pertinent to families, like budgeting and discipline. Most of the activities are free and a family pass can be bought that includes all events that require a ticket. I hope we’ll be able to attend the fair again this year.

Grants For Women Are Plentiful

July 3rd, 2009 . by admin

My mother and grandmother were both nurses, and I wanted to become one, too. Unfortunately the university that I wanted to attend had tuition prices that were completely out of reach even with student loans, and I thought that I’d have to settle for a lesser college. A colleague of my moms told me about the process of applying for women grants, and I decided to give it a try. I was so shocked when I received my notification and money, and I enrolled at the university. Now I have enough money to carry me through at least the first two years of college, and I will have a great career!
